Nothing Gold Can Stay

Whenever I see something this golden, I can't help but think about that line in the movie "The Outsiders".  Johnny is talking to Ponyboy and quotes the Robert Frost poem:

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.

Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.

Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,

So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Our friends told us about this field on Saturday and so we rushed over to take some pictures.  Last year I had taken some shots of Jacob in some of these flowers as well but it was just a strip along the highway in the back parking lot of the Ace Hardware distribution center.  I must say this is much more spectacular.
